The Hideaway Bar: Reviews & Ratings
Love this place! I'm new in town, and I've found that this is the best bar/food spot in the area. The food is great (they make an amazing burger), the drinks are great, and the prices are very very solid. Service is fantastic too. I came in today having a somewhat cruddy day, but Shayla cheered me right up! She brought all my stuff to me with record speed, and it felt like she was actually listening and interested in conversing with me. This place is great, and another shoutout to Shayla (although the other bartenders are great too, I just haven't learned their names yet).
Chef Danny and all the staff are so kind. Stopped by here on Thanksgiving and Danny & the kitchen team made an entire potluck style Thanksgiving buffet for patrons to enjoy. Not many establishments would do something like this and I just wanted to shout him out :) Thank you for making our Thanksgiving so much fun, hideaway staff! Also enjoyed the wings & beer!!
Even tho I heard this place has been around many moons; they just relocated across the street to a brand new spot. It’s super cool and nice for a dive/ish bar. Starters the parking is in back just a heads up and yes the back door is an entrance lol. I had to go pee like a race horse and the bathroom was sparkling (and there’s a TV?!?!) The staff was very local and friendly, the food was priced very daily and almost on the cheap side for today’s standards. I got the patty melt, my fri dns got the BLT, and the Bacon Cheese Burger, and we shared some Toto’s… that said our food came with house made chips which were really good (we prolly didn’t need the tots). So no body is perfect and we (me & my friends) debated on 4 or 5 starts… we arrived at like 1:30ish and it was a shift change and were a little ignored; we didn’t feel this was the norm or intentional but I like to be 100% honest sin my posts. Once we moved to the bar from our high top and made contact with the next shift, everyone was very attentive and we loved them. This is def a spot I’ll be revisiting and recommend! Only recommendation would be to state your drink prices and beer specials (at least the menu I got had no prices for bottles, buckets, drafts, wells, shots) the black board with specials was the only place they had these and so I ordered one and you did not have it… I asked for a draft beer as the same price as the beer on special and was laughed at… not cool. But u have next time took keep the 5 star
The Hideaway has been part of Orlando for a looooong time, and there is a reason for this! Recently relocated across the street in the bustling hip Ivanhoe region, guests can enjoy music inside or the cool view outside, awesome prices, a nice food selection all night, bartenders that know their drinks, and servers that love their guests. I will go again very soon after work (probably tonight!) and share some pics.
There's a few things I can say about this place, but mostly I can say, I came here during my heart transplant journey for their food. The staff had grown to know me and help support me when I was in the deepest of trenches. I was facing life and death situations and not know what was happening next in my life. They were a constant when I needed stability. The staff supported me and my husband, got to know us, and helped us through the entire process. The food is amazing, the owner and staff are amazing, and the ambiance they bring to the bar and grill has the ability to have anyone relax to their full potential.
I love hide away Shannon is the best she’ll take care of you for a smile. You can stay for a while and next thing you know you’ve been drinking for a mile. John knows how to get it on. It doesn’t matter what you’re on. He’ll serve you like a marathon. Sammy will give you the double whammy and next thing you know you’re gonna need a moon over your hammy. Alex is the best next. Do you know you think you’re eating Tex-Mex but Hideaway is the best. Claudette, what have you feeling like you’re a vet but it doesn’t matter you always pass the test. I’ll tell you a story about Torey she made me feel about a boy named Corey who messed the world and a beautiful girl named Topanga. let me tell you when I stay in my lane I like to drink with my boy James. it doesn’t matter if you need the nanny my boy cooking in the kitchen with a bad name Danny. if you feel silly, you better order from Willie because you drink a Bud Light and then get it dilly. If you feeling study, and you hurting, dont worry, we fly right with Birdie, she make me feel younger than thirty. i never leave hurting but the really, hideaway is the place to make you feel like your apart the place.
This bar is an orlando staple … well the one across the street was and now the new hideaway is ready to serve the food and drinks of old. Menu is great. Beer buckets are an amazing value.
This place was cool. I think his name was Jeremy or something but he was very welcoming and kind of gave us the rundown about the food and how things worked out there knowing that we were new in town. Our server whose name I have forgotten unfortunately was super nice and super friendly. Everybody there was very cool. There were servers and managers coming by that weren't even helping us that were asking me if we needed anything. We will certainly come back here.
